Causes of Bad Breath and Remedies

Bad breath can also be caused by the foods that we eat. There are certain foods that have a reputation for causing bad breath, with onions and garlic being on the top of that list. After consuming garlic, for example, our digestive system breaks down the garlic into molecules, and these molecules themselves have an unpleasant odor. As the blood circulates, some of the molecules go into the lungs and when we breathe, the unpleasant smell is released through our mouths.

Smoking is another common cause of bad breath. The unpleasant odors associated with smoking come from the nicotine, tar, and other tobacco substances that build up on a person's teeth and soft tissues. Smoking also dries out the mouth, and having a dry mouth aggravates bad breath because there is not enough saliva in the mouth that is needed to wash away bacteria.

Gum disease is another cause of bad breath. Gum disease is a bacterial infection in the gums surrounding the teeth. Bacteria becomes embedded and trapped in these areas and foul odors become apparent.

One of the most common bad-breath remedies is the use of mouthwash. Mouthwashes are designed to flush bacteria from the mouth and leave the mouth smelling fresh. Another remedy for bad breath is to visit a dentist for a complete examination and a proper cleaning of the teeth. Having your teeth cleaned will remove the excessive buildup of plaque and bacteria that grows between the teeth and in the recesses of the gums and will improve the quality of your breath. bad breath remedy click here button
If you smoke, by stopping the habit, your breath will be fresher and you will produce more saliva, which is essential for good oral hygiene.

Should You Really Use That Moisturizer With Sunscreen Added?

April 1st, 2010

It is commonly known that sunburn is really bad for your skin, so doesn’t it make sense that you should use a moisturizer with sunscreen?

But believe it or not the answer isn’t as clear as you might expect.

There’s no doubt that sunburn is really bad for our skin, in fact sunburn is probably one of the single worst things you can do to your skin.

If you want to guarantee older looking skin with all the symptoms of aging skin like dryness, sagging, wrinkles and more, just get a sunburned face regularly from an early age.

Not to mention skin cancer.

So doesn’t it make complete sense to use a moisturizer with an spf of 15 or even 30?

Well no, not necessarily, though that doesn’t mean it’s fine to get sunburned.

So why isn’t it a great idea to use a moisturizer with sunscreen added? Because there is some evidence that the daily use of sunscreens can be dangerous to your health and there are even some scientists who believe that regular use of sunscreens can cause cancer.

Now it certainly isn’t proven yet, but is suspected by many scientists. If, say, you use a sunscreen normally around 5 or 6 times a year then the risk is lower, but if you use a moisturizer then the chances are that you use it every day, so the risk is higher as you are using a sunscreen daily, and many days when you don’t need it.

There’s primarily 2 different types of sunscreens, those that stay on the surface and those that soak in. Those that stay on the surface are those using zinc or titanium.

If the sunscreen soaks in then a portion of them will get into your bloodstream. Possibly dangerous. And most skincare products with spf factors use the type that soaks in because it looks and feels better.

And remember, any spf factor is produced by use of synthetic chemicals and you don’t really want synthetic chemicals in your blood.

And that’s not all. If the sun is unable to get to your face each day you may well start to find that you suffer from vitamin D deficiency. Studies have shown that up to 60% of Americans suffer from some deficiency of vitamin D in their bodies, though not all that is caused by use of sunscreen by any means.

So what do you do about it?

Use the best moisturizer in the world that doesn’t have a sunscreen. The manufacturer of the best skin care products actually doesn’t use any sunscreens in their skin care products for all the reasons I’ve just outlined.

And wait till there’s a day when you really think you need a spf factor, then use a sunscreen with either zinc or titanium. On other days you won’t need one, and then you can stock up on that vitamin D.

There’s more information on the best skin care products that don’t have any sunscreen.
